is a noble gas. Its atomic number is 2. Liquid Helium is used as Cryogenic.

provide inert atmosphere for welding use helium and argon

prevent oxidation of metals such as magnesium and steel helium is used

due to its non – inflammability and less diffusion is preferred for filling
weather balloons airships

being less soluble in blood than nitrogen, it is mixed with oxygen and used for
respiration by deep sea drivers
